Case Studies

The themes of the research groups provide the overarching conceptual frame for the six case studies. The → research groups conduct two case studies at each institution on provenance, space and economy in connection to selected collection holdings. The partially interdisciplinary approaches are thematically and chronologically broad-based, ranging from the evaluation of the collection policies of female aristocrats to the portrayal of Nietzsche in the arts to the investigation of digital estates of so-called “born digitals”. The participating researchers work closely with the → Digital Laboratory and help to enhance the existing skills and tools in a needs-oriented manner.
